Hi, I’m Eve Menezes Cunningham

As well as being a senior accredited supervisor, therapist and coach (etc), I’m an author, podcast producer and host, freelance journalist, advice columnist (for Platinum and others), occasional podcast guest and broadcaster (radio and TV) and (from February 2024 to November 2025) Editor-in-Chief of the Irish Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy
My first ever press conference was at a VDAY conference in NYC, when I first went freelance as a journalist with no contacts while setting up my (initially just coaching and complementary therapy) private practice. Eve Ensler, Jane Fonda, Sally Field and Elizabeth Lesser (see pic below, taken in 2004) were joined by peace and social justice activists from around the world. Gloria Steinem had to leave before the press conference but I got to meet her and tell her that her writing had saved my life.

Since then, I’ve written hundreds and hundreds of articles and columns for a wide range of titles (you can scroll down to read selected samples) and I regularly provide comment for other journalists on topics including Self care rituals and self-care ideas, embodied wellbeing, mental health (especially anxiety, trauma recovery and body based approaches and energy work as well as traditional talk therapy), inner wisdom, stress, sleep, outdoor therapy and coaching, mindfulness, online therapy and coaching, finding more joy in life, wild swimming, Brexit (and moving countries – UK to Ireland – to become a Brexile), ADHD, being a solopreneur, working with the Divine Feminine and more.

Being a journalist myself (and columnist for Platinum), I’m used to deadlines and am always happy to help if I can
