Knowing and manifesting whatever you want
“We are unstoppably magnetic when we are unapologetically ourselves” ~ Roxie Nafousi
How can you attract what you want when you don’t believe you deserve it? Want to heal your trauma, befriend your VAST / ADHD brain and truly start believing that you (like everyone else on the planet) truly deserve all good things and that there’s enough for all of us? That it’s not only safe for you to want things but that you can attain your goals and dreams?
Read on for some of my own experience with manifesting and the Law of Attraction as well as to find out how you can work with me (one to one as a client or supervisee, online or by telephone across Ireland and the UK or face to face in Westport, Co Mayo, Ireland), to book me for events or to join the Sole to Soul Circle: Trauma-informed and ADHD-friendly Self and self-care to help you create a life you don’t need to retreat from). You can also access articles (including some of the Law of Attraction experts from The Secret), podcast episodes and other resources including trauma sensitive and ADHD-friendly yoga nidras as well as self-care and Self care rituals that go with the book, 365 Ways to Feel Better: Self-care Ideas for Embodied Wellbeing

I’m living a life that’s beyond my old wildest dreams
Nope, I don’t earn a six-figure income every month or even every year (or anywhere close to that) but I have been running my own business for over two decades.
As a brand new freelance writer with enough encouraging feedback on three (thankfully unpublished) novels in 2004 to encourage me to take the leap with no journalism contacts or experience (beyond work experience at the Bangor Chronicle and being Arts Editor on the student magazine, Seren), my first ever press conference was with Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Eve Ensler and others. I got to meet Gloria Steinem at that same conference in NYC and tell her and Eve Ensler that their writing saved my life.
I still can’t believe some of the interviews (for press and my podcast) I’ve manifested. Including US presidential candidate Marianne Williamson.

You can listen, watch and read some more here and below.
After years of toxic, hellish jobs (one of which had me on beta blockers for anxiety attacks aged 22), I still (even when the words aren’t flowing) sometimes can’t believe I get to write for a living.
Indian Irish, London-born (with the privilege of having had an Irish passport since I was 10) I was able to move my UK practice online and turn my post-Referendum sobbing over Boris Johnson and Brexit into an unrecognisable but utterly fulfilling life in the rural west of Ireland.
And, while healing is far from linear and stuff still comes up for healing and sometimes floors me, I’ve become a person who’s genuinely mostly happy.
I’ve gone from feeling nauseous even looking at photos of myself as a small child to integrating Inner Child work with other daily and regular practices.
Having spent much of my childhood, teens and 20s wanting to be dead, the amount of love I have for life (while recognising the horrors and doing what I can to help make the world a better place for all its inhabitants) continues to astonish me. I didn’t believe trauma recovery was possible for me.
Even as I continue to learn about and befriend my ADHD brain, as I grieve what might have been, I feel beyond blessed to be living this life. In 2022, after I realised that decades into my trauma therapy work, I had been completely single for 23 years because while helping clients with self-care and self-love, I, underneath it all, had internalised the belief that I was unlovable. After several months of having fun online dating, I manifested a partner I adore when (gradually getting clearer about what I wanted in a partner and brave enough to own it) I changed my profile to announce that I wanted to meet someone I felt the same way I feel about Croagh Patrick mountain (grounded and expansive).
He (against all the odds) helped me manifest a lifelong dream of becoming an excellent driver (I finally learned and passed my driving test in 2024, aged 48) with patience I didn’t know even existed in humans.
I had a book published! Writing and doing press for 365 Ways to Feel Better: Self-care Ideas for Embodied Wellbeing (and somehow manifesting a launch at London’s Coliseum even though I was a tiny author for a small independent publisher) helped me create an almost consistently full private practice after years of loving my work but struggling. By putting my mind, body, heart and soul into the book, and then my website, I began attracting clients and supervisees who were even more delightful (and well-suited to my unusual approach).
Self care, self love and manifesting
I’ve interviewed countless Law of Attraction and manifesting experts over the decades (as a freelance journalist), and facilitated thousands of yoga nidras These are guided relaxations that help soothe the nervous system and harness the power of the unconscious mind in a fully embodied way to make our intentions a reality as we more easily take the actions required to move towards our intentions in between yoga nidra practices.
You deserve to create a life you don’t need to retreat from.
Manifesting meditations (trauma-informed and ADHD-friendly yoga nidras)
Harness the power of your unconscious mind with yoga nidra and align your beliefs and behaviours with your heart’s desire. While working with your intention during the deep rest, you’ll feel more empowered and energised to take the necessary actions to actually get there, too.
As well as offering besoke yoga nidras for clients and groups when appropriate (as well as the Sole to Soul Circle – you’ll gain instant access to the rich archive as soon as you join), I have hundreds of free ones online. And while I hope you’ll enjoy them, please experiment with other voices, music or no music (mine are all voice only as certain music can trigger some people).

While the whole book is an invitation to be more compassionate with yourself as you learn to love yourself and better support yourself in feeling better every day, you might especially enjoy the sections around making dreams (not the nightmares) a reality.

Some additional resources to help you manifest what you want. You deserve to create a life you don’t need to retreat from!
I have read so many books on the Law of Attraction and manifesting over the decades but these are the ones that are currently standing out. Will revise this list so feel free to come back again:
Tosha Silver’s Outrageous Openness: Letting the Divine Take the Lead is one of my favourites because it’s all about remembering that we are part of Nature, part of the Divine. Part of Source. Part of Love. That we can let go and let God (or Goddess).
Gabrielle Bernstein’s May Cause Miracles (Hay House, 2012)
Roxie Nafousi’s Manifest: 7 Steps to Living Your Best Life (Penguin, 2022)
Mike Dooley’s Choose Them Wisely! Thoughts Become Things (Beyond Words, 2010)
Barbel Mohr’s The Cosmic Ordering Service (Hodder, 2006)
And, of course, one of the originals, The Science of Living According to Florence Scovel Shinn (1925, my copy is from 2010, Z. El Bey. Ilife Publishers).
