Especially with trauma and/or ADHD. But you can learn to open up to the goodness life has to offer in a gentle, grounded way. We continue the crown chakra work on the Love Your WHOLE Self chakra journey with some self care ideas to help you do this

There was a time when I’d have wanted to cry (or rage) reading that I “should” be more relaxed, open and trusting.
My trauma history made me feel like the best I could do was to LOOK like I was relaxed in meditations and relaxation practises. To do my best to endure and not disturb the others.
And my then undiagnosed ADHD made it really challenging to focus on the instructions and calm the 70gazillion racing thoughts at any given moment.
Again, I did my best to PRETEND to be normal, calm and relaxed while my heart raced and I felt anything but.
But it’s possible. It takes care and softness and PATIENCE. And when you don’t want to, HONOUR that. But if you’re open to relaxing into life a little more, putting your trust in the goodness life has to offer (while also taking good care of yourself and your Self), read on for some ideas.
This week’s Deeper Dive (for Full Moon and Super Moon members) is a deliciously indulgent 20 minute trauma informed and ADHD friendly voice only yoga nidra (UPGRADE HERE)
While this one was especially recorded to support you in feeling safe enough to trust in the goodness life has to offer, I encourage you to experiment with it and other yoga nidras (mine and others) and notice what helps you feel more or less open and trusting.
Even after all these decades of trauma recovery work, I find yoga nidras with musical backgrounds (especially the type that screams: RELAX) deeply unrelaxing so, when not doing my own, I opt for other people’s voice only nidras or music that I can manage – I adore music but very much what I want to listen to.
You might be different and find the musical backgrounds restful and relaxing.
Give yourself permission to know what you know and do what’s relaxing for YOU.
ACTION What are you going to do, THIS WEEK, to give that busy brain (and nervous system) of yours some respite? To trust that you don’t need to be ON the whole time
