As we move into the throat chakra work this Love your WHOLE self chakra journey, you’ll realise that it’s NEVER too late to be a more supportive, loving and encouraging parent to yourself
I welled up for the gazillionth time watching most of the speeches as Kamala Harris shared the message her dad kept giving her when she was little during her DNC acceptance speech this week.

Are you happy with your creative expression? Singing? Writing? Performing? In other ways?
Are you constantly interrupting others?
Maybe you struggle to get a word in yourself?
Perhaps your self talk is so harsh you’re psyching yourself out of everything and exhausting yourself?
Do you complain a lot (to others or even mentally) without changing anything?
How would your self talk and your whole LIFE be different if you loved yourself even a teeny tiny bit more? If you believed that you could DO whatever it is you want to do?
Maybe you have physical issues with your throat, jaw, neck and/or shoulders?
Welcome to the throat chakra part of our Love your WHOLE self chakra journey.
We’ll be addressing all these questions and more in the coming weeks and, as always, I welcome your comments and questions.
We introject what we hear from our parents and other adults and it becomes our own self talk. In the coming weeks, you’ll learn how to balance and heal your throat chakra with self care coaching and embodied journal prompts around creative living and practices, a special Dark New Moon Circle to help you sort your self talk.

All participants are welcome to join us at 8pm on Monday 2nd September for a special throat chakra cleanse and some self and Self care coaching. Full Moon and Super Moon members (whether able to attend live or with access to the recording for a week) will also receive another unique yoga nidra and EFT Tap Along). FIND OUT MORE
“Fantastic Circle! Wow, blew us away with the power of Revealing Our Inner Goddesses. Míle buíochas!”
Dr Karen Ward of Moon Mná on the special Circle I facilitated for them on Monday night
If you haven’t already booked for the Sort Your Self Talk Circle, you can RSVP for the link and to be added to the list and receive the link by replying to this email (if you’re reading it as a Half Moon, Full Moon or Super Moon subscriber) or by emailing eve@selfcarecoaching.net if you’re online and have seen it by chance and are a Crescent Moon Member (if so, please consider joining Embodied with Evei as a free or paid subscriber to support my work).
Coming up
In the next few week you’ll be learning more about different aspects of the throat chakra and ways to work with it including some simple yoga and EFT, chanting and singing, working metaphorically with the throat, neck, shoulder and jaw and more.
For now, give yourself the time and space to connect with your Self and yourself with these embodied journal prompts
Especially while working with the throat chakra, while letting yourself express your truth in a journal or even on loo roll and flushing it is enormously beneficial (cite studies), embodied journalling (where you record yourself on video or audio and listen back for additional clues and insights into what lifts you and drains you) is especially good for our throat chakra work.
As you read the questions above, what resonates most for you today? This week? This month or even year?
How would you describe your relationship with your throat chakra right now? (You may already know a good bit about the chakras or you might simply use the questions above to give you a sense of what this energy centre includes)
What would you most WORRY about it becoming like (let’s give this worry and anxiety some room. Shine a light on it and let it come up for healing). Self talk is SO important and there’s no point telling ourselves we should be kinder to ourselves and using the fact that we struggle as yet another stick to bludgeon ourselves with.
What would you LOVE it to be like? Maybe you secretly dream of singing or performing in front of thousands (or even a handful at a local event)? Maybe you long to write or paint something truly meaningful? Maybe you’d love internalise a way of talking to yourself like the way Tim Walz talked to us all at the DNC – encourage, a sense of fortitude, acceptance and pep talks?
Let it all out.
Give yourself the time and space to transform your relationship to yourself and others as you use what you’ve learned from the lower chakras and give voice to it now.
And if you’re new to this Love your WHOLE self chakra journey, you can (if you want to) go back to older resources AND you don’t need to.
Simply start where you are and be open to healing, transformation, courage and a more joyful way of expressing yourself.
The Feel Better Every Day Podcast
I’m in the process of sorting subtitles and an index for ALL episodes but for now, I hope you’ll enjoy revisiting (or listening or watching for the first time) whichever episodes appeal to you most (had hoped, by now, to be able to point you in the right direction to all the ones most relevant for the throat chakra work but gonna say something kind, gentle and forgiving to myself instead).
