Joy is one of the ways in which your nervous system is guiding you towards what will help you not only recover and heal but THRIVE

We continue our heart chakra work on this Love your WHOLE self chakra journey by exploring what makes our heart sing.
A few things that spring to mind for me right now are:
- being a DRIVER! Still a bit dazed that I passed my test on Thursday (on a really bad driving day. I KNOW I can drive well but I failed the practice one before the real test enormously)
- the cats (obv)
- HOPE for global politics (especially if Kamala chooses Cory Booker for her Vice President)

- sitting down with a delicious book
- walking the lane I still can’t believe I get to live on / sitting in the field or garden
- those psychedelic car seat covers that make me beam just thinking about them (and which helped me pass for SURE)
- an unexpected gift of a cat and moon keychain which was so sweet it felt magical
- the thought of being able to hop in Beatrice Lobster (my car) when my licence arrives and it’s legal for me to drive alone and DRIVE ALONE. Just pop to the sea without needing to cycle in and through town. Being able to pop to beaches that are too far to cycle to. Being able to explore more of this wondrous part of the world on a whim (while continuing to enjoy exploring it with the spectacular souls I’ve come to know and love since following my heart and moving to Ireland in 2019…)
- recognising how far I’ve come in my own trauma recovery and other areas – I’ve been doing some more inner child work on myself this past couple of weeks and, as always, it’s been intense but THIS inner child work has been with a more resourceful, FUN inner child – we all have many aspects to our inner child and to our whole selves – and I feel sure she helped me on Thursday
I could go on and on and on but want you to think about some of the things that make YOUR heart sing
When you do feel HAPPIEST?
Most yourself?
Wholehearted?

My podcast still makes my heart sing
It’s been more work than I’d even anticipated and I’m nowhere near doing what I’d intended to do with it as I’ve barely been keeping up with the publishing each week BUT it’s been one of the most joyful things I’ve ever done for work and I’m looking forward to revisiting each episode, creating more of a library with them and other resources through the site and so on.
In the meantime, I adore being able to use my journalism AND therapeutic backgrounds to be doing something so FUN and which is helping people give themselves permission to be more themselves.
In this week’s episode of The Feel Better Every Day Podcast, author and 5 Minutes to Change Your Life podcast host, Joanne Mallon, shares her ideal and actual daily self care practices.
Which of Joanne’s favourite ideal and actual elements are your favourites?
a) stopping and smelling and talking to the roses
b) rolling out of bed and into a yoga / tai chi practice?
c) gratitude?
d) early nights?

I’ve changed the date of this week’s so hope you’ll be able to make it (had forgotten about a sub aqua weekend away! Have I mentioned that being underwater makes my heart sing?).
THURSDAY 1st AUGUST at 7pm. RSVP by emailing Circle to eve@selfcarecoaching.net and you’ll be added to the list and receive the link
It makes my heart so happy to hold space for people (all genders welcome) as you set intentions for the month ahead and learn (or are reminded of) mind body practises selected for specific supports.
This week, you have the opportunity to open your heart to your whole self. To honour all your parts (including your own inner children) and all your TALENTS. To connect with the things that come more easily and joyfully to you.
Full Moon and Super Moon members will have access to the full Circle receive recordings as part of your self paced self care but you don’t have to be pay a thing to access the first part of this unique Circle (inspired by the multitalented Irish god Lugh and Dark New Moon) and prepare for an extra special August.
